R-163-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />AFFORDING COMPENSATION AND SUPPLEMENTAL COMPENSATION TO THE CITY <br />TREASURER AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-116-02 <br />WHEREAS, City Ordinance No. 829 fixes the salary for the City Treasurer at $225 per <br />month, and authorizes the City Council to provide, by resolution, supplemental compensation <br />for additional responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the present City Treasurer, Aurelio De La Torre, will be performing <br />additional services as follows: <br />• Responsible for conducting random audits of Accounts Payable weekly warrant <br />register and related back-up. <br />• Review and approve all Travel expenses relating to the City Council office. <br />• Responsible for any appeals related to the P -Card program. <br />• Responsible for conducting random audits of P -Card and cell phone payments and <br />meeting with Department Heads to resolve any issues. <br />• Assist City Manager's Office with coordination of the City-wide management audit as <br />recommended by City Manager. <br />• In the absence of the Purchasing Manager, assist the Finance Director with contract <br />negotiations where applicable. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Supplemental salary for City Treasurer Aurelio De La <br />Torre shall be fixed at $2,000 per month, in addition to the sum of $225 per <br />month provided by Ordinance No. 829, for a combined salary of $2,225 per <br />month effective January 1, 2007 <br />SECTION 2. The supplemental salary for the City Treasurer is <br />specifically allocated in compensation for additional tasks noted above. <br />Should the City Treasurer cease to perform such activities, the City may <br />choose to reduce or delete the Treasurer's supplemental salary. <br />
