R-165-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,636.22 <br />FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF <br />GENERAL SERVICES – TELECOMMUNICATIONS DIVISION <br />AND AMEND THE 2006/2007 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing <br />July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 was approved and adopted June 20, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances <br />of the City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 17, 2006, the State of California, Department of <br />General Services – Telecommunications Division awarded a grant in the amount of <br />$1,636.22 to the City of Colton Police Department for the purchase of material and <br />supplies necessary to provide classroom instruction to kindergarten and elementary age <br />school children in the use of 9-1-1. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to approve and accept this STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES – TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />DIVISION grant in the amount of $1,636.22 to the Revenue Account 225-5880-000. <br />SECTION 2. It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2006/2007 <br />Fiscal Year Budget, appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6071-2301 for <br />$1,636.22. <br />SECTION 3.
