R-23-06 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA TO <br />ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THE UPPER SANTA ANA WATER RESOURCES ASSOCIATION <br />AND ASSIGN A VOTING MEMBER AND AN ALTERNATE. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") has had a representative with no voting rights <br />attending meetings of the Upper Santa Ana Water Resources Association, an association <br />formed to take a leadership role in managing ground water and surface water resources in <br />the Upper Santa Ana River Watershed; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has not yet accepted the terms of the Upper Santa Ana Water <br />Resources Association; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to designate its representative and alternate to the Upper <br />Santa Ana Water Resources Association; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br />SECTION 1. That the Terms of the Upper Santa Ana Water Resources Association <br />are hereby accepted. <br />SECTION 2. That the Director of the Water and Wastewater Department is hereby <br />appointed to serve as a "Regular Member" with voting rights to the Upper Santa Ana Water <br />Resources Association. <br />SECTION 3. That the Water Utilities Manager is hereby appointed to serve as an <br />Alternate "Regular Member' to the Upper Santa Ana Water Resources Association. <br />SECTION 4. That the individuals designated by this City Council as the City's <br />representative and alternate representative to the Upper Santa Ana Water Resources <br />
