R-90-06 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA: 1) TO ACCEPT AND APPROVE AN AGREEMENT TO USE GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR DR. PAUL ROGERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS, AND 2) TO AMEND AND INCREASE THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006/2007 IN THE AMOUNT OF $5009000. WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to improving the street infrastructure and; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to improving the aesthetics of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. Accept the grant awarded to the City of Colton by the County of San Bernardino in the amount of $500,000 for the purpose of implementing improvements to Dr. Paul Rogers Elementary School in the City of Colton. 2. Authorize City Manager Daryl Parrish to execute an agreement for said project and any subsequent grant documentation thereof. 3. Amend the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget to include the improvements to Dr. Paul Rogers Elementary School and increase the CIP budget in the amount of $500,000 as follows: a. Increase account number 225-8101 in the amount of $500,000 b. Increase account number 225-8102-450 in the amount of $500,000 c. Increase account number 450-8101-225 in the amount of $500,000 d.
