ill <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12' <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO.R-18-07 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING <br />THE SUBMISSION OF THREE APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION <br />DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE III GRANT PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act, Article III provides funds for <br />projects that improve access to bus stops for pedestrians and persons with <br />disabilities, as well as funds for the improvement of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; <br />WHEREAS, San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) solicits <br />Transportation Development Act, Article III projects from local agencies on a bi-annual <br />basis; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to improving the <br />accessibility of bus stops for pedestrians and persons with disabilities and encourage <br />walking and bicycling as part of a healthy lifestyle and environmentally friendly activity; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO <br />HEREBY RESOLVE authorization for submittal of three Transportation Development <br />Act, Article III Grant Program applications to infill sidewalks, construct a bike path <br />staging area connecting Washington Street to the Santa Ana River Trail, and improve <br />the bus stop on the east side of La Cadena, north of Valley Boulevard. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th DAY OF FEBRUARY 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
