Keane, Assistant City Manager4 <br />k__� <br />SUBJECT: Award of bid for Stackable Recycling Con- Date: April 6, 1988 <br />tainers to Rehrig Pacific Company in the <br />amount of $9,237.90. <br />On March 24, 1988 we advertised for 590 units of stack- <br />able recycling containers to be utilized the City's re- <br />cycling program. Bid opening was held at 2:00 P.M. on <br />April 6, 1988 in the General Services Office. <br />Only one bid was received. Lack of bidding is attributed <br />to the specialization of this item and the small number <br />of manufacturers in this area. A bid analysis is attached <br />which reflects total cost, delivery and discount terms. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made <br />to Rehrig Pacific Company in the amount of $9,237.90. <br />Report prepared by Kenneth L.
