Keane, Assistant City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for an Industrial Asphalt & Soils Date:. February 8, 1988 <br />Roller to Whitney Machinery in the Amount of <br />$27,405.66. <br />On January 28, 1988, we advertised for quotations on an Industrial Asphalt <br />and Soils Roller with a trailer for the Streets Division of public Works. <br />Bid opening was held at 2:00 P.M., February 8, 1988, in the Electric <br />Department conference room. <br />There were eight bid packages mailed out or picked up for this requirement. <br />We had four returned in time for the bid opening. Two were "No Bids", <br />one did not have the required bid security and one was a good bid. The <br />one good bid is within the budget for the roller. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made to Whitney <br />Machinery in the amount of $27,405.66. <br />Report prepared by K.L.
