Box 847, Fontana., CA 92335 <br />as principal, and SAFECO INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA <br />as surety, are held and firmly bound unto the City of Calton, State <br />o Californi , in the sum of $ TWO HUNDRED NINETY NINE THOUSAND and 00/100 <br />(f 299,000.00 <br />lawful money of the United States, for the payment of which sum, well <br />and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, jointly and severally,_ firmly <br />by these presents. <br />The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas said <br />principal has been awarded and is about to enter into .a written. <br />City p of ST_ IMPROVEMENT <br />contract with the Cit of Colton for the improvement <br />CITY PROJECT #PW88-6 which is hereto attached, and to which <br />reference is hereby made for all particulars, and is required by said <br />CITY to give this bond in connection with the execution of said <br />contract. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, if said principal as CONTRACTOR in said contract, <br />or their subcontractor, fails to pay for any materials, provisions, <br />provender or other supplies or teams, equipment, implements, trucks, <br />machinery or power used in, upon or for or about the,performance of <br />the work or labor done thereon of any kind, or for amounts due under <br />the Unemployment Insurance Act with respect to such work or labor, <br />said surety will pay the same in an amount not exceeding the sum set <br />j <br />
