CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of August 15, 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C. Hutton Director of Public Works <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Recommendation for Selection of Water Date: August 10, 1989 <br />Quality Control Plant Maintenance Operations <br />The City of Colton's wastewater treatment plant maintenance operations contract will <br />expire on August 16, 1989. Staff has reviewed 4 proposals for the maintenance <br />operations of the wastewater treatment plant. Attached is a letter from Krieger and <br />Stewart, the City's consulting engineer, regarding the proposals and an evaluation <br />and summary sheet on the proposals. <br />A 4 member panel interviewed each firm and based their recommendations on experience, <br />operation record, expertise in wastewater treatment plant operation and cost. The <br />attached evaluation and summary sheet outlines the ranking for each firm, optional <br />services and a breakdown of fees; the complete proposals are on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk. <br />The current plant operator has been given a 30'day extension to allow for continued <br />operation and maintenance of the plant until such time as the succesful firm will <br />assume operation. <br />• ID g 107410to, <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the firm of Operation Management International <br />and authorize staff to negotiate a 5 year contract for base and optional services <br />as <br />outlined within their proposal. <br />JCH/1i <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of Item No. <br />
