Keane., City Manager , <br />e I , <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid to Engs Motor Truck Co. <br />for a Refuse Vehicle with Lump Sum <br />Pride of $112,282.95. <br />I <br />Date: November 30, 1989 <br />On November 2, 1989✓ we advertised for quotations on a curbside <br />operated, front-end load, refuse collection vehicle. Bid opening <br />J <br />was held 2:00 P.M., November 22`, 1989 in the City Council Chambers. <br />Five bids were received and a Bid Analysis is attached showing <br />the prices and estimated delivery times. The recommended vendor's <br />price is underlined. <br />Staff is recommending a lease purchase of the vehiclewith 10 <br />semi-annual payments over a five year period at 8.65% simple <br />interest. There will be $13,485.07 <br />year. The remaining nine paid on the vehicle this fiscal <br />9 payments of $13,485.07 will result in <br />a total cost of $134,850.70 for the vehicle. This figure is also <br />compared with the other bidder's on the Bid Analysis. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made to Engs <br />Motor Truck Co. who was the lowest and best bidder with a lump <br />sum price of $112,282.95. <br />Report prepared by K.
