CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of February 21. 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C. Hutton, Director of Public Storks <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Joint Paving Project with the City of Date: February 13, 1989 <br />San Bernardino for Mt. Vernon Ave. from Grant Ave. <br />North to Second St. <br />The City of San Bernardino is requesting the City of Colton's cooperation in a <br />joint paving project for Mt. Vernon Ave. and Grant Ave. north to Second St. in <br />the City of San Bernardino. The City of Colton's portion would include Mt. Vernon <br />Ave. the west half of the roadway north to Johnston St. <br />Staff has reviewed the City of San Bernardino's request and finds that it is <br />reasonable to consider its approval due tot he potential cost savings involved in <br />doing our portion with San Bernardino's larger project. Since the City of San <br />Bernardino is being funded with FAU Funds, the potential savings to the City of <br />Colton would be approximately $40,000. <br />• 8 •8V SIF ID • <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the joint paving project with the City of San <br />Bernardino, and the City of Colton's share in an amount not -to -exceed $6,280 said funds <br />to come from the Capital Improvements Account #57-9931-89.
