CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT For Council Meeting of February 21. 1989 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: John C. Hutton, Director of Public Storks SUBJECT: Approval of Joint Paving Project with the City of Date: February 13, 1989 San Bernardino for Mt. Vernon Ave. from Grant Ave. North to Second St. The City of San Bernardino is requesting the City of Colton's cooperation in a joint paving project for Mt. Vernon Ave. and Grant Ave. north to Second St. in the City of San Bernardino. The City of Colton's portion would include Mt. Vernon Ave. the west half of the roadway north to Johnston St. Staff has reviewed the City of San Bernardino's request and finds that it is reasonable to consider its approval due tot he potential cost savings involved in doing our portion with San Bernardino's larger project. Since the City of San Bernardino is being funded with FAU Funds, the potential savings to the City of Colton would be approximately $40,000. • 8 •8V SIF ID • Staff recommends that Council approve the joint paving project with the City of San Bernardino, and the City of Colton's share in an amount not -to -exceed $6,280 said funds to come from the Capital Improvements Account #57-9931-89.
