SELECTION AND TRAINING STANDARDS OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY DISPATCHERS. <br />Motion Second <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Any person may address the City Council at this time upon any <br />subject within the jurisdiction of the City of Colton; however, <br />any matter that requires action will be referred to Staff for <br />a report and action at a subsequent Council Meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Motion <br />Second <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />Staff reports or other written documentation relating to each item <br />referred to on the Agenda are on file in the Office of the City Clerk <br />and are available for public inspection. <br />Any person having questions concerning any item on the Agenda may call <br />the City Clerk at 370-5034, to make inquiry concerning the nature of <br />the item described on the Agenda. The City Clerk shall direct inquir- <br />ies to the appropriate office. <br />DECORUM AND ORDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, <br />the City Council has adopted rules pertaining to Decorum and Order. The <br />City Council will strictly enforce these rules in order to allow full <br />expression of ideas and opinions by citizens, Staff or Legal Counsel. <br />The rules are summarized below: <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistles <br />clapping, yells, and similar demonstrations shall not be permitted <br />by the Presiding Officer. Any disrupting demonstrations shall be <br />cause for the Chief of Police to clear the Council Chambers or to <br />remove individual offenders upon direction from the Presiding Of- <br />ficer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or city <br />officials, or otherwise becomes boisterous while addressing the <br />Council, or while attending the Council Meeting, shall be ruled <br />out of order by the Presiding Officer. If someone begins to make <br />impertinent or slanderous remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the <br />City Manager or City Attorney at the direction of the Presiding <br />4 <br />
