MINUTES OF THE BOARD.& S,f�ERVISOFlS <br />OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />MAY 1, 1989 <br />FROM: HARRY Mo MAYS <br />County Administrative Officer <br />SUBJECT: PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER TO THE CITY OF COL ON LAFC NO. 253S <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Adopt a resolution adopting a,formula for transfer $104 of property.tax to the City of <br />Colton as a result -of pending annexation. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />State law requires. that agreement, on distribution of -property tax relating to <br />proposed boundary changes be reached before the Local Agency Formation <br />Commission issues a Certificate of Filing. On May 19, 19180, the Soard approved the <br />formula for property tax transfers which had been agreed upon by County staff and a <br />committee of city managers. <br />This resolution provides for continuation of existing County services to the area being <br />annexed to allow the City ample time to identify and secure the resources necessary <br />to serve the. annexed territory. <br />This, action will determine the share of property tax revenue to be allocated as a result <br />of this jurisdictional change. and shall only be effective upon satisfactory completion <br />U of the annexation proceedings. <br />HMM:WOW:des <br />Action of the <br />of Supervisors <br />
