CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
For Council Meeting of January 16, 1990
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council -
FROM: LESLIE A. KEANE, CITY MANAGERdw
SUBJECT: MODIFICATION TO CITY'S CAR ALLOWANCE POLICY Date: 1/12/90
Recently, the Council approved a resolution authorizing the City
Manager to convert benefits to salary in instances when employees
are retiring from the City within a one year period, Implied in
the resolution is the ability to convert the assignment of a City
vehicle to a car allowance. Automobile allowances, however, are
set by another resolution , R-77_-88, which specifically identifies
those employees eligible for an allowance. As you are aware, the
Police and Fire Chiefs have announced their intent to retire at
the end of 1990. The attached resolution adds their names to the
_list of eligible employees. In addition, this resolution provides
modifications to assure that all employees and officers receive
compensation for the use of their private vehicles based on the
same formula.
Attachments:
Page 1 of.
ORIGINAL
,LNI RAL RECORDS
FILE NO. --.....
Item N07
