CITY OF COLTON <br />Finance Director <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Knowledge of: <br />Principles and methods of finance administration, particularly in <br />the areas of municipal accounting, budgeting and auditing. <br />Laws regulating the financial administration of City government. <br />Budget preparation, program analyses and revenue forecasting. <br />Operations of utilities, including source of supply, measurable <br />units and meters. <br />Principles .and practices of organization, administration and <br />personnel management. <br />Ability to: <br />Plan, organize, and coordinate department activities. <br />Develop and install sound accounting and financial reports. <br />Prepare, present and administer a budget. <br />Analyze systems, research and prepare complex financial reports. <br />Present clear, concise oral reports to various groups. <br />Select, supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff. <br />Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those <br />contacted in the course of work. <br />Experience and Trainin <br />A combination of experience and training that would likely <br />provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A <br />typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience• <br />Five years of progressively responsible experience in accounting <br />and financial work including considerable administrative and <br />supervisory experience. <br />2 <br />
