LaCadena
Colton, CA 92324
Dear Mr. Hutton:
At the February 28 meeting, the Board of Education
approved a resolution of intent to grant an easement to
the City of Colton for the Georgia Morris Elementary
School project. Due to local constraints, the District
will hold a public hearing on March 14, 1990, followed
by Board action to formally convey the easement to the
City.
Meanwhile, construction is continuing, and the contractor
is requesting the City's assistance in extending
permanent power to the site by the end of March 1990.
If possible, the District requests City assistance in
laying all of the necessary ground work to complete this
project, pending the approval of both agencies. If this
time schedule is unrealistic, the District would
appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to finalize
the schedule.
As you know, this public school is necessary to relieve
overcrowded conditions in the Rialto Unified School
District, which serves the northwest portion of the City
of Colton.
Sincerely,
Kent Van Gelder
Coordinator, Facilities Planning
KVG/kp
cc: Gale Drews
Jeff Peterson
Nitin Modi
•
1
Z
