SOTELO, City Manage <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Various Elastimold Pro- Date: July 27, 1990 <br />ducts to Maydwell & Hartzell in the Amount <br />of $40,961.05 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Electric Stores carries various Elastimold Products, such as fittings, <br />inserts, insulating receptacles, etc., for use on an as need basis by <br />the Electric Department. The City's Electrical Engineer reviews these <br />inventory items twice a year and projects the usage for the next semi- <br />annual period. <br />On July 12, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids for this <br />requirement. Bid opening was held at 10:00 a.m., July 24, 1990, in the <br />General Services office. One bid was received from Maydwell & Hartzell. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None, funds are available. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for this requirement to Maydwell & Hartzell <br />in the amount of $40,961.05. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
