ECONOMIC/REDEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (continued) <br />Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate project activities in the <br />redevelopment area; inform City staff of project progress and <br />changes. <br />Perform the duties of the department Director as required. <br />Perform related duties as required. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided <br />the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory <br />job performance. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills <br />and abilities would be: <br />Education <br />Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, urban <br />planning, real estate, or other related field. A Masters degree <br />in public/business administration, or other related field is <br />highly desirable. <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in <br />economic and/or redevelopment project management. <br />Rnowledoe, Skills, and Abilities <br />Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices utilized in <br />municipal government operations, including the principals and <br />practices of organization, administration, municipal finance, <br />real estate, and planning; legal, financial, and public relations <br />issues common to local government; California Redevelopment law; <br />procedures and policies concerning redevelopment programs, and <br />techniques for promoting economic development; modern methods and <br />techniques for planning, administrating, appraising community <br />development and redevelopment programs. Ability to plan <br />organize, and coordinate City-wide activities; effectively <br />facilitate the development and execution of plans for City-wide <br />improvements; perform difficult analysis, and prepare and present <br />reports; read and interpret laws; develop plans to meet future <br />needs; deal constructively with conflict and develop effective <br />resolutions; communicate effectively both verbally and in <br />writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships <br />with representatives from federal, state, and local agencies. <br />LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE <br />Possession of an appropriate, valid California driver's license. <br />APPROVED BY COUNCIL: <br />
