The Requla- <br />rIon 1 ,:) f rip kp.ai action Plan for the t ;ity of Cotton Civic Center has Air ouality Manage- <br />ment District ver bat approvai, and it is imperative that the Pian be adopted so that staff <br />ria'q l.,r uuCeca vvitil implementation per Air Quality Management District requirements. <br />Staff is requesting adoption of the Civic Center Trip Reduction Plan at this time to <br />facilitate the execution of the plan objectives. The Air Quality Management District <br />nenaltieS for non-compliance are very severe, so it is imperative that the City act in a <br />urneiv manner to avoid criminal and civil penalties, which can amount to $25,000 per <br />Ths plan is mandated by law and is intended to reduce vehicle trips primarily between <br />and 10:00 am. The pian requires full support and cooperation <br />from the (;ity Councii. City Manager and Department Heads in order to assist in meet- <br />mci the Air Quality Management District requirements.
