SOTELO, CITY MANAGER <br />SUBJECT: DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND HUMAN SERVICES Date: June 14, 1990 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 15, 1990 Council adopted resolution R-48-90 affording benefits <br />to the City's executive employees and Resolution R-49-90 establishing <br />a pay and classification plan for the employees of the City. The <br />Director of Recreation and Human Services was not included. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />The position of Director of Recreation and Human Services was not <br />included when the above mentioned resolutions were passed. Before <br />the recruitment process can begin, these resolutions must be ammended <br />to include the position. <br />The Director of Recreation and Human Services will oversee the <br />recreation and community human services operations. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />Budgeted position. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached job description and reso- <br />lutions amending the Pay and Classification Plan and Benefits to <br />Executive Employees for Director of Recreation and Human Services. <br />Report Prepared By: Sandra Knight, Human Resources Manager <br />Attachments: Job Description <br />Resolution <br />Resolution <br />Page t of Item No <br />
