Hutton <br />Director <br />Public Works <br />City of Colton <br />650 North LaCadena Drive <br />Colton, CA 92324 <br />Dear John: <br />May 15, 1990 <br />RE: Potable Water Interconnect at <br />.1450 Washington Street <br />Pursuant to our meeting of April 26, 1990 regarding a potable water inter- <br />connect between the City of Colton and Riverside Highland Water Company, I <br />have outlined the conditions: <br />1) Riverside Highland Water Company will have their contractor, Kingdon <br />and Sons, Inc., install the pipe, meter and valves on RHWCo. property <br />and tie to City of Colton eight (8) inch water line from RHWCo. property <br />to Colton main in Colton Court Yard Shopping Center. <br />2) The cost by competitive bid was $7,723.27 and will be paid by the City <br />of Colton. <br />3) The City of Colton desires a 10 feet wide pipeline easement for a 16 <br />inch water main across RHWCo. property adjacent to and parallel to the <br />County of San Bernardino Flood Control easement. <br />4) Riverside Highland Water Company will grant the easement to the City <br />of Colton at no charge. <br />5) The easement to the north or south of the Flood Control easement must <br />be determined prior to granting easement. Colton to prepare all legal <br />descriptions. <br />6) Accounting for water will be exchanged on a cubic foot for cubic foot <br />basis. <br />A) Both the suction and discharge meters will be read by Riverside <br />Highland Water Company and reported to Colton monthly. <br />B) Within 120 days of a party taking water, the balance will be <br />brought to zero by returning water. <br />7) Request for water and authorization for water must be controlled at <br />management level: <br />City of Colton - <br />Director of Public Works or Superintendent of Water <br />Riverside Highland Water Company - <br />General Manager or Distribution Superintendent <br />
