Gonzales ?
SUBJECT: Propositions 108, 111 and 116
Date:
I recently received a letter from West McDaniel, Executive Director
of SANBAG, requesting the Colton City Council's endorsement of Propositions
108, 111 and 116, which will be on the June 5, 1990 ballot.
Proposition 111: The Traffic Congestion Relief & Spending
& Limitation Act of 1990 - will revise the
Proposition 108: government limit to be more responsive to
California's population growth and vibrant
economy. If passed, Proposition 111
will trigger an increase in the gasoline
tax which together with Proposition 108
will provide additional monies to improve
local roads and public transit.
Proposition 116: The Rail Transportation Bond Act, is the
Clean Air Transportation Improvement Act
of 1990. The Act, if approved by
California voters, will provide almost
$1.99 billion statewide for projects
mostly based per capita need.
One resolution in support of Propositions 108 and 111, and another
one in support of Proposition 116 are submitted for your consideration.
Attachments: Resolutions
Page t of
 r , Item No-1-5iLE y'-------------i ( *
