SOTELO, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for a 15 KV Circuit Breaker Date: October 31, 1990 <br />for the Hub Substation to CBS Manufacturing Co., Inc., <br />in the Amount of $8.679.88 <br />BACKGROUND <br />One of the Circuit Breakers at the Hub Substation is in need of replace- <br />ment. The City must purchase a rebuilt breaker as this breaker is no <br />longer being manufactured. <br />On October 18, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />this breaker. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., October 29, 1990, <br />in the General Services office. Two bids were received and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />A Bid Analysis is attached for your review showing the price and de- <br />livery for each vendor. The recommended vendor's price is underlined. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None. Funds were appropriated in the budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends vid award to CBS Manufacturing Co., Inc. <br />of $8,679.88. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
