CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (CONTINUED) <br />November 6 1990 <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF ' <br />SUBJECT: Authorization to go to bid for replacement of <br />Emergency 9-1-1 Logger <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />As the use of an emergency call recorder is mandated by federal law, <br />there are no alternatives to purchasing this machine. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />$22,800.00. This is based on three informal bids from Dictaphone, <br />Stancil, and Pacific Arepco. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the City Council authorize going to bid for the <br />purchase of the 9-1-1 emergency telephone call logger to replace the <br />existing, but malfunctioning, inoperative unit.
