O
MOTOROLA
Communications and Electronics Inc.
March 1, 1990
Lt. Patrick Crowe
Colton Police Dept.
650 N. La Cadena Dr.
Colton, CA. 92324
Dear Lt. Crowe:
Address Reply to:
1700 Iowa Avenue
Suite 190
Riverside, CA 92507
(714) 781.7600
(714) 825.7203 San Bernardino
In our discussions of your Dispatch Center , we talked about upgrading your
Centra Com Series I to Series II Plus.
As you know your current CCI is obsolete and most parts are no longer manufactured.
Your service shop (ComSerCo) can no longer fully maintain your system and at best
must take a "Band-Aid" approach to keeping it operational.
By upgrading to Series II Plus , both dispatchers will have access to all dispatching
functions through the use of our new CRT based dispatching console. In addition and
probably even more important, the Centra Com Series II Plus will be fully expandable
when the City moves to 800 MHz trunking.
I have used all of your existing furniture and all existing equipment compatible with
the proposed upgrade. All existing Non -Radio equipment will be utilized in its
present form with the exception of your recorders. New Call Check Recorders by
Dictaphone have been proposed as per you request.
Attached you will find a diagram of proposed modifications and a budget estimate
based on all information that is currently available. Taxes, freight charges and
installation are not quoted. For an installation budget number you can use $10,000.00
Please be aware that this figure is strictly an estimate and should be treated as such.
I hope this information will provide the City of Colton with the ability to properly
budget for the future of your dispatch center.
Sincerely,
MOTOR 0 A
Communica ions and Electronics, Inc.
Rex Hamilton
Government Markets
