PUBLIC TRANSTT <br />Rationale: Omnitrans is the transit provider in San Bernardino County. Presendy, one <br />employee is using this commute mode. The marketing/incentive plan outlinod below is aimed <br />at placing 3 employe�s on public transit. Presendy, none of the employoes at the CoTporate Yard <br />Site are using public transit. <br />Objective: The City of Colton's objective is to place 3 employees at the Corporate yard site <br />on public transit. � <br />Marketing Plan: The Transportation Coordinator will "market" bus service as follows: <br />■ Provide monthly pass subsidies of a26.00. <br />■ Keep a supply of ride guides for each route that provide access to the worksite. <br />■ Display bus posters that encourage ridership. Post route maps and time schedules <br />on bulletin boards. <br />■ Penonalized bus routing and scheduling, including all necessary transfer points. <br />■ Purchase bus passes from Omnitrans through their Cotporate Bus Pass Program. <br />■ Notify employees that bus passes can be conveniendy purchased on the premises. <br />■ Notify all riders if scheduling changes occur. <br />■ Have Omnitrans marketing department conduct a transit promotional event. <br />Transit users are also eligible for monthly drawings, quarterly drawings, surprise giveaways and <br />the guaranteed ride home program. Please refer to pages 26-27. <br />Tuneline: (See Master Timetine At The End Of The Section) <br />Resources: <br />Staff Time: This program will take approximately 4 hours per week of ETC time for <br />the first 1 month, and 1 hour per week thereafter. <br />Operating Budget: The City of Colton has budgeted $1,960 per year for this program. <br />�8 <br />
