CITY OF COLTON <br />Police Chief (Continued) <br />Mperience and Training <br />Any combination of experience and training that would likely <br />provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A <br />typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />MWerience • <br />Eight years of broad and extensive experience in all <br />major phases of municipal police work including at least <br />four years of management or supervisory experience. <br />Training: <br />Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited <br />college or university with major coursework in police <br />science, administration of justice, public or business <br />administration or a related field. A Master's degree is <br />highly desirable. <br />License or certificate <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, and appropriate, valid <br />California driver's license. <br />Possession of a P.O.S.T. Management Certificate. <br />
