Drews, Electric Utility Director <br />SUBJECT: PUBLIC POWER WEEK 1990 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Date: 9/24/90 <br />The City Council proclaimed the week of October 7-13, 1990 as <br />Public Power Week during the September 18, 1990 City Council <br />meeting. The Colton Electric Utility will be joining consumer - <br />owned electric utilities throughout the country in holding <br />activities during this week to inform electric utility customers <br />of services available through their respective electric utilities. <br />The Colton Electric Utility will be holding an "Open House" on <br />Wednesday, October 10 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Electric <br />Utility facilities located at 150 S. 10th Street. Residents and <br />businesses in Colton are welcome to attend the "Open House". <br />Individuals coming to•the "Open House" will have an opportunity to <br />meet with Electric Department employees, receive information and <br />energy conservation, electric safety, and available Electric <br />Utility services, and tour the Electric Utility facilities at 150 <br />S. 10th Street. <br />As we did last year, an information booth will be set up at City <br />Hall during Public Power Week, which will be staffed by Electric <br />Department employees. The information booth will have electric <br />informational materials available for the general public. The <br />information booth will be open from October 9-12 during regular <br />work hours. <br />Public Power T-shirts have been received which will be worn by <br />Electric Utility employees during Public Power Week. T-shirts were <br />also ordered for Council members and Utility Commissioners for <br />their use during Public Power Week.
