CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of September 4, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: JACK STRATTON, POLICE CAPTAIN9 ri'll" <br />SUBJECT: INCREASE FOR TRAFFIC ORDINANCE FEES AND Date : August 30, 1990 <br />ESTABLISHING BAIL AMOUNTS OF PARKING CITATIONS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Police Department has traffic ordinance fees which need to be <br />increased and bail amounts of parking citations need to be <br />established. <br />STATEMENT OF PROBLEM <br />Fees charged by public agencies must be advertised and set for public <br />hearing. - <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />Fees currently being charged are below the amounts being charged by <br />neighboring cites and recover only a part of the costs of labor, <br />materials, and overhead involved in processing these services, thus <br />being subsidized from within the existing budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends an increase to Traffic Ordinance Fees and a <br />Resolution establishing bail amounts of parking citations be set <br />for public hearing on October 2, 1990. <br />City manager Concurrence <br />Page 1 of ------ ---- --- -.. __ .. - _ - - -- - _ - <br />Item No <br />
