Ramos, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Establishing Fee for City Council Date: 9/25/90 <br />Agenda and Minutes <br />Background: <br />During the 1990-91 Fiscal Year Budget process, each department was asked to review <br />fees for services rendered. The review was for the purpose of evaluating actual <br />cost of providing service. <br />Statement of Problem: <br />The City Clerk's Office provides copies of City Council Agendas and Minutes on a <br />year round basis to various individuals and private businesses. The current aver- <br />age cost of providing such service is $7.00± per month. The actual cost varies de- <br />pending on length of Agendas/Minutes and Postage. On an annual basis this repre- <br />sents $3,538 based on 42 packets times 12 months. <br />Alternatives: <br />Provide free of charge. <br />Financial Impact: <br />Addition of $3,528 revenue for General Fund to offset cost of providing services. <br />Environmental Impact: None. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve the attached resolution establishing a <br />$7.00 per month fee for City Council Agenda and Minutes. <br />Concurrence: <br />Attachments: 1 <br />Page 1 of 1 OIRIGINAC Item No.M <br />CENTRA RECORDS <br />FILE <br />FILE NO. . ................ j <br />
