CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
For Council Meeting of October 2, 1990
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: STEPHEN EDWARDS, CITY ATTORNEY
SUBJECT: FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3.28 Date: SEPTEMBER 26, 1990
OF TITLE 3 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE
This ordinance pertains to the Wal-Mart project. It is substantially
identical to ordinance.0-3-90, adopted on May 15, 1990, which it is
intended to replace.
On the Redevelopment Agency Agenda is a similar matter.
The new City Council Ordinance and the new Redevelopment Agency
Ordinance are intended to replace earlier ordinances. This is necessary
due to the new development documents being signed after the adoption of
the ordinances.
As it is customary in these matters, there will be a court validation
action brought. That action will establish that all actions taken have
been correct. The adoption of this ordinance, by the City Council and
the similar ordinance by Redevelopment Agency are recommended to insure
the satisfactory outcome of the judicial validation action.
Alternatives:
None
Fiscal Impact:
None, provided recommended action is taken.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance. The appropriate action at
this meeting is to waive full reading and pass first reading of the
ordinance.
Attachments:
Item No.__
