CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of September 18, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: EDMUND F. SOTELO, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Annual Contract for Traffic Signal Date: September 12, 199 <br />Maintenance to Superior Signal Service in the <br />Estimated Amount of $27,000.00. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City contracts for the maintenance of it's various traffic signals <br />throughout the City. The previous contract has expired and is being <br />renewed on a month to month basis. <br />On August 30, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />Traffic Signal Maintenance for the period 9/1/90 through 6/30/91 with <br />an option to renew for an additional year. This contract also includes <br />extraordinary maintenance, minor upgrading and installation work as <br />directed by the City on an "as need" basis. <br />Bid opening was held at 2:30 P.M., September 10, 1990, in the General <br />Services office. Two bids were received and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />A Bid Analysis is attached for your review showing the routine mainte- <br />nance cost per intersection per month and the hourly rates for employees <br />and equipment for extraordinary maintenance. The recommended vendor's <br />price is underlined. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None.
