CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of September 18, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C. Hutton, Director of Public Works <br />SUBJECT: Approval to Set a Public Hearing for the Vacation Date: September 10, 1990 <br />of a Portion of "J" Street for October 16, 1990 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The portion of "J" Street to be vacated is located north of the I-10 Freeway between <br />2nd and 3rd Streets. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: <br />The developers of the land next to "J" Street have requested the vacation for <br />development of their apartment complex. The portion of "J" Street being vacated is <br />a section of land that remained after the construction of the I-10 Freeway. The area <br />would be maintained and landscaped by the developer. <br />The Planning Commission has reviewed the request approved the vacation with the <br />following conditions: <br />1. The utility easements shall be retained. <br />2.
