CITY OF COLTON <br />Police Lieutenant (Continued) <br />Ability to• <br />Meet and deal with the public tactfully and effectively. <br />Recommend improvements in departmental operation and in the <br />rules, regulations, and policies governing the Department. <br />Experience and Training <br />Any combination of experience and training that would likely <br />provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A <br />typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Two years of experience at the level of Police Sergeant. <br />Training: <br />Equivalent to completion an Associate degree in Criminal <br />Justice or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in <br />Criminal Justice is preferred. <br />License or certificate <br />Possession of an appropriate, valid, California driver's <br />license. <br />Possession of an appropriate, valid P.O.S.T.
