.CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (CONTINUED) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF_ May 28, _1.991 <br />SUBJECT: Aprpoval of Resolution and Authorization to Enter into an MOI.I with the <br />County of San Bernardino as Part of the Host Com unity Infrastructure <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There should be no financial impact to the City in asking for funds being collected <br />by the County for the purpose of improving conditions within the community around the <br />landfill in which it is located. <br />AB1600 identifies the specific uses by which a tax or fee can be imposed. <br />ENVIRONEMENTAL IMPACT: <br />The host City infrastructure and environmental mitigation fee was imposed for the purpose <br />(by the County) with the intent to improve environmental impacts created by the land- <br />fill situated in or around a community. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the attached Resolution giving the County and <br />City authority to negotiate a M0U for the purpose of utilizing the host community <br />infrastructure and environmental mitigation fee for 1) the La Cadena Beautification <br />Plan for street and roadway improvements and 2) the reopening of the Colton landfill <br />to area residents as a means to reduce area wide illegal dumping. <br />ICITY N�NAGER'S CONCURRENCE <br />L��� �'� <br />Page 2 of_ 2 Item No.------ <br />
