COMMUNITY CHILD CARE SITE SUPERVISOR <br />11" D4*,.A JY •.► <br />Under the general supervision of the Community Child Care Coordinator, to manage <br />and extended day child care program at selected elementary schools in the Colton <br />Joint Unified School District. <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - May include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />°To manage the daily operations of a licensed child care facility. <br />°To plan and execute an age-appropriate curriculum than enriches the latchkey <br />child's academic skills, linguistic abilities, cultural, and recreational experiences. <br />'To supervise teachers and recreation leaders, volunteers, and other assigned staff. <br />'To maintain proper documentation in accordance with State licensing requirements <br />and State Department of Education requirements. <br />'To maintain documentation on program quality in accordance with State Department <br />of Education instruments on program quality and review. <br />°To maintain documentation needed for State Department of Education fiscal reports. <br />'To ensure maintenance of a clean and orderly environment. <br />'To operate the site in an efficient and safe manner. <br />°To interact with and support clients on a daily basis; prepare written reports <br />and other communications as required. <br />'To plan weekly staff meetings for site staff; attend in-service, parent and <br />staff meetings, as required. <br />'To provide necessary coordination with the Coordinator and City of Colton staff, <br />including appropriate community groups and organizations. <br />°To establish and maintain effective working relationships with school site <br />administrators, teachers, staff, and district personnel. <br />°To perform other related duties as assigned by the Coordinator. <br />MINIMCM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education <br />Twelve(12) semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood <br />Education, Child Development, recreation and/or elementary education from <br />an accredited college or university. <br />Three (3) semester units in the administration of a child care center, staff <br />relations, or program administration. <br />Childrens' Center Permit desirable. <br />Experience <br />One year paid experience as a Teacher in a licensed child care facility. <br />Skills and Abilities <br />'Must possess excellent skills in teaching, leadership, communication, <br />motivation, and supervision. <br />'Culturally sensitive to the needs and interests of minority families. <br />'Bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities desirable. <br />5/91 <br />
