GAYTAOARKS, RECREATION AND HUMAN SERVICES DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT:Date : MAY 17, 1991 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVISED SALARY FOR CCPM�iUNITY <br />CHILD CARE TEACHERS PURSUANT TO GRANT COLA INCREASE BY <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION <br />taTeemef7e i��-amom <br />Revenue for the City's child care program is provided by the Department of Education. As <br />allocated, the Department offers COLA increases to grantees for staff salaries and <br />support. In 1990-91 the increase was received in April at a 4.75% increase. <br />STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: <br />The Community Child Care Teacher position has not received a COLA increase since 1989. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This grant funded position bears no impact on the City's general fund, costs are charged <br />solely to the grant. The base salary would be increased from $8.50 per hour to $8.90 per <br />hour for current and potential employees.
