Hutton, Director of Public Works po <br />SUBJECT:Date : October 15, 1991 <br />Approval of Annexation No. 42 into <br />the City's Landscape Maintenance District <br />RAC KC;Rni Nn <br />The Council has previously approved the formation of a Landscape Maintenance District. <br />Properties within certain Benefit Zones may be annexed into the District. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: <br />Attached is the "Consent and Waiver to Annexation" from the owner of property within <br />such a Benefit Zone. The property owner is requesting annexation into the City's <br />Landscape Maintenance District. Under the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting <br />Act of 1972, a single property owner can request annexation into a Landscape District, <br />waiving any public hearings. <br />The property owner in this case, is the City of Colton. The property being annexed <br />is the Wild Canyon Reservoir. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Areas within the District are maintained with fees collected by the County Tax <br />Collector. <br />ENVIRONv1ENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council approve Annexation No. 42 into the City's Landscape <br />Maintenance District. <br />/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: 1 <br />Page 1 of Item No. <br />I ILEj4 0..2 ................9 . <br />
