CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />(CONTINUED) <br />April 7, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Change Order to Ellis Electric in the Amount of <br />$51,996.00 for Telemetry Contract <br />RECCNMENDATION: <br />Staff reconTnends that Council approve the change order for Ellis Electric in the amount <br />of $51,996.00 and approve the actions recommended by Best, Best and Krieger as <br />follows: <br />1. Ellis Electric is the sole supplier of an unique product and <br />services necessary to expand the City's telemetry system. <br />2. If another contractor were allowed to perform the work, the <br />warranty on the previous completed work will be voided. <br />3. No public purpose would be served by awarding a new contract <br />for this phase of the telemetry system expansion project, and <br />entering into the public bidding process would, therefore, <br />be an unnecessary and costly action of no value to the City. <br />/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Page of Item No <br />
