AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES <br />TTIIS AGREEMENT is made as of the 7th day of April, 1992, by and <br />between the CITY OF COLTON, a California municipal corporation (the "City"), the <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF COLTON, a public agency (the <br />"Agency") and BEST, BEST & KRIEGER, a partnership engaged in the practice of law <br />having its principal place of business in Riverside, California. <br />The City and Agency wish to continue to engage the services of Best, Best & <br />Krieger as exclusive City Attorney and Agency Counsel on the terms set forth below. <br />1. Scope of Services. Best, Best & Krieger shall perform all legal services <br />as may be required from time to time by the City and the Agency and their officers as set <br />forth and limited by this Agreement unless otherwise agreed to by City, Agency and Best, <br />Best & Krieger. Best, Best & Krieger shall serve as City Attorney and Agency Counsel, and <br />as such shall be responsible for preparation for and attendance at regular City Council, <br />Agency and Planning Commission Meetings, attendance at bi-weekly office hours, meetings <br />with the City Manager and Executive Director and other City and Agency staff as directed <br />by the City Manager or Executive Director, brief telephone consultations, response to <br />routine inquiries regarding conflicts of interest, and review for legal sufficiency of routine <br />ordinances, resolutions, contracts, administrative and personnel matters.
