CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of August 4, 1992 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Richard E. Acevedo, Finance Director <br />ate: July 27, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Audio/Video Equipment <br />for the City Council Chambers to C.J. Carrigan <br />Enterprises, Inc. in the Amount of $37,073.76. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Community Development Department submitted a requisition for <br />audio/video equipment for the City Council Chambers. They were <br />asked by the City Manager to investigate possible options and make <br />recommendations for providing video coverage of City Council <br />meetings. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Community Development prepared the technical specifications for the <br />equipment and submitted them to General Services. General Services, <br />in turn, prepared the bid, advertised the requirement and sent <br />eleven bid packages to prospective vendors. Bid opening was held at <br />2:30 P.M., July 23, 1992, in the City Hall Conference Room. C.J. <br />Carrigan Enterprises, Inc. of Walnut, California submitted the only <br />bid. Their bid of $37,073.76 was within the estimate received from <br />Community Development which was in a range from $30,000.00 to <br />$50,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for the above requirement to C.J. <br />Carrigan Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $37,073.76. <br />Report prepared by: Kenneth L.
