Hutton, Director of Public Works4,`4�1- <br />Date: July 27, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Traffic Fees for City Traffic <br />Engineer from 7-1-92 to 6-30-93 in the amount <br />of fi7.�_nnn <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Traffic Committee previously reccnTriended that traffic fees in the amount of <br />$25,000 be used to pay the City Traffic Engineer costs for each fiscal year. The <br />Council approved traffic fees for the City Traffic Engineer for Fiscal Year 91-92. <br />nrcri iccrMi- <br />The Council needs to approve the Traffic Fees appropriation for the City Traffic <br />Engineer each fiscal year. Traffic fees are paid by anyone developing or remodeling <br />within the City to ease traffic impact on City streets. These funds may be used to <br />pay for a consulting traffic engineer, such as the City Traffic Engineer. <br />FINANCIAL IIyPACT: <br />None, cost is offset by traffic fees. <br />RECCNMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the appropriation of $25,000 from the Capital <br />Improvement Traffic Reserve fund to the City's Traffic Fee Fund for services renedered <br />by the City's consulting Traffic Engineer. <br />/lj <br />'CONCURRENCE-/At��(f <br />CITY NWNAGER S <br />Attachments: 1 <br />Page 1 of <br />Item No.� <br />
