ACEVEDO, Finance Directo <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Two -Year Contract or <br />Positive Displacement Water Meters to <br />Inland Water Works Supply in the Amount of <br />BACKGROUND <br />(Pol 13, 3V <br />Date: November 24, 1992 <br />$69,556.20 <br />Positive displacement water meters are ordered into Water Stores In- <br />ventory for use by the Public Utility on an as required basis. The <br />current contract will end December 31, 1992. <br />On November 3, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />a two-year contract for these requirements. Bid opening was held at <br />2:30 p.m., November 17, 1992, in the General Services office. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Four bids were received and evaluated by the Water Utilities Manager. <br />The low bid was received from Inland Water Works Supply Co. A Bid <br />Analysis is attached showing prices quoted by each vendor. The recom- <br />mended vendor's price is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award to Inland Water Works Supply Co. in the <br />amount of $69,556.20 for the period January 1, 1993 through December 31, <br />1994.
