CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA R�EPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />(CONTINUED) <br />February 18, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: FY91-92, FY92-93 and FY93-94 Water Rate Increases <br />ENVIROM�ENTAL INPACT: <br />The growth and age of the City's Water Utility System and the facts presented within <br />the Water Master Plan convey the necessities to renovate and upgrade one of the oldest <br />Water Utility Systems in the County. <br />Considering the ca�nplexity of new State mandates with regards to additional and more <br />frequent analysis, the growth of the corrmunity over the last ten years and the <br />requirerrient to maintain and provide an ongoing water supply to meet current and future <br />demands, the State requires the local water agencies insure that they can provide <br />adequate water supplies and ongoing maintenance of its system, documented per the <br />Water Master Plan. <br />FINANCIAL IIvpACT: <br />City staff, including the Finance Director, Public Works Director and Water Utilities <br />Manager have met on several occasions with the Utility Corrmission and Carrip, Dresser <br />and McKee to analyze every aspect of the Water Master plan and Water Rate proposal. <br />The attached Ordinance reflects the absolute minim�.rn necessary to enable the Water <br />Utility Enterprise to meet the required needs with a balanced budget for FY91-92, <br />FY92-93 and FY93-94. <br />RECONTv1ENDAT I ON : <br />Staff recaYrriends that council approve the first reading of the Ordinance adopting <br />the FY91-92, FY92-93 and FY93-94 Water Utility Rates and setting a public hearing <br />and second reading of the Ordinance for March 3, 1992. <br />JCH/lj <br />CITY NtANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Page 2 of 2 Item No <br />
