08-SBd-215-2.4/2.9 <br />08204 - 310311 <br />At Washington Street IC <br />Modify Interchange <br />District Agreement No. 8-689 <br />CONSTRUCTION <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, ENTERED <br />the STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />Transportation, referred <br />INTO ON <br />acting by <br />to herein <br />, 19_ is between <br />and through its Department of <br />as "STATE", and <br />CITY OF COLTON, <br />a body politic and a municipal <br />corporation of the STATE of <br />California, referred to herein <br />as "CITY" <br />RECITALS <br />1. STATE and CITY, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code <br />Section 130 are authorized to enter into a Cooperative <br />Agreement for improvements to State highways within the <br />CITY. <br />2. CITY desires to construct STATE highway improvements on <br />STATE Route 215 at the Washington Street Interchange <br />consisting of modifying the overcrossing structure to <br />accommodate five lanes of traffic by constructing a <br />cantilevered pedestrian sidewalk; improving entrance and <br />exit ramps; signalization of the northbound exit ramp at Mt. <br />Vernon Avenue; modification of signals at ramp terminals; <br />and installation of 16" water line, collectively referred to <br />herein as PROJECT, and is willing to fund one hundred <br />percent (100%) of all capital outlay and staffing costs for <br />PROJECT, except for the following: <br />1. Upgrade of STATE's concrete barrier (parapet type) <br />located on the south side of the freeway <br />overcrossing structure. <br />1 <br />
