ER84-75, ER86-271, and ER87-365 <br />Enclosed is a check in the amount of $1,926,000.00, which is deemed to include <br />interest through March 1, 1992, for an interim refund in the aforementioned <br />dockets. <br />TELEPHONE <br />(016)302-0400 <br />Under the terms of the Commission's Opinion Nos. 362 and 362-A, Edison was <br />required to submit its compliance filing in Docket No. ER84-75 on November 22, <br />1991. Inasmuch as the company, and the wholesale customers were nearing the <br />culmination of negotiations on a settlement of two issues remanded by the <br />Commission in Opinion 362, Edison requested that FERC postpone the date for <br />making the compliance filing until 90 days after the settlement of the remanded <br />issues had been accepted by FERC. At the present time, the settlement is being <br />signed by the respective parties. <br />In an effort not to delay the refunds due as a result of Opinion Nos. 362 and 362-A -.:) <br />any further, Edison agreed to make interim refunds on March 1, 1992 of 75% of the <br />amount estimated to be due to the wholesale customers in these dockets. Such <br />refunds would include interest until the date of the interim refund. <br />The remaining amounts owed in these dockets will be paid after the FERC has <br />approved the compliance rates in each of these dockets.
