R- 36 -92 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON FOR THE PURPOSE <br />OF ESTABLISHING A UTILITY DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO TAKE CERTAIN ACTIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Colton has given careful consideration to the <br />establishment of a Utility Department composed of the Water and Sewer Divisions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed and <br />authorized to form the Utility Department composed of the Water and Sewer Divisions currently <br />in the Public Works Department. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to take other <br />necessary administrative actions to form this department, including: <br />1. The establishment of job specifications for the Utility Department Director <br />as described in Attachment "A". <br />2. The recruitment for the Utility Department Director. <br />3. The appointment of an Interim Utility Department Director. <br />4. Set the salary of the Utility Department Director at a monthly <br />range of $5,272.00 - $6,403.00. <br />S.
