including, but not limited to, the Annual Conference of the <br />League of California Cities and such other national, <br />regional, state and local governmental groups and committees <br />thereof which Employee serves as a member. <br />B. City also agrees to budget and to pay for the travel and <br />subsistence expenses of Employee for short courses, classes, <br />institutes and seminars that are necessary for his <br />professional development and for the good of the City. <br />SECTION 8. GENERAL EXPENSES <br />City shall provide Employee with a City credit card to be used <br />solely for reasonable, customary and necessary expenses incurred by <br />Employee in connection with the conduct of City business. City <br />Council also agrees to reimburse Employee for any cash expenses <br />which are reasonable, customary and necessary for the performance <br />of Employee's duties. <br />SECTION 9. INDEMNIFICATION <br />City Council shall defend, save harmless and indemnify Employee <br />against any claims, demands, actions, suits, costs, expenses or <br />liabilities, whether in tort, equity, professional liability, or <br />contract, whether groundless or otherwise, arising out of or in <br />connection with an alleged act or omission occurring in the <br />performance of Employee's duties as City Manager, except that City <br />
