employee works. <br />If the City Treasurer chooses to hire a part-time employee as Deputy City Treasurer, it is proposed that the <br />position be funded at 10 hours per week and compensated at $13.00 an hour, the approximate rate now paid <br />Account Technician IIs at the "E" step. The attached resolution sets up such a procedure and compensation <br />schedule. SBPEA representative Mike Lynd concurs with this proposal as it concerns current City employees. <br />Betty Holder, Account Technician II in the Finance Department, is currently performing the above described <br />duties. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The additional compensation will be absorbed in the City Treasurer's current budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council: <br />1. Approve the job description for ,Deputy City Treasurer, <br />2. Adopt the compensation options described below: <br />A. $115/month for an assigned City employee, OR <br />B. $13.00/hour for a part-time employee working 10 hours a week, and, <br />3.
