Ramos, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT:Date <br />CERTIFICATION OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION 9-22-92 <br />HELD SEPTEMBER 15, 1992 IN THE CITY OF COLTON <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At its May 19, 1992 Council Meeting, the City Council adopted Resolution <br />No. R-60-92, Calling and Giving Notice of the Holding of a Special <br />Municipal Election to be held in the City of Colton on September 15, <br />1992, with respect to the Measure on the Recall of Councilmember Connie <br />"Paddy" Cisneros. <br />DISCUSSION• <br />The City Council by adoption of Resolution No. R-83-92, authorized the <br />City Clerk to conduct the canvass of the Special Municipal Election. <br />The canvass was completed on September 17, 1992 and finds that the <br />majority of voters voting on the measure did not vote in favor of it and <br />the measure was not carried. <br />It is now in order for the City Council to accept the certification and <br />declare the results of the election by adoption of the attached <br />Resolution No. R-103-92. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends adoption of the attached Resolution, reciting the facts <br />and declaring the results of the September 15, 1992, Special Municipal <br />Election. <br />Atch:1 <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of _ _ Item No. -6 <br />
